Creating Goal Based Discounts (Progress bar)

Discover how to create a goal-based progress bar using Kite's free gift and discount ad feature. This guide will walk through the process step by step.

Start by navigating to the Create Promotion tab.

**Step 1:** Locate the Goal Based Rewards or Goal Based Progress Bar option. Click on it.

**Step 2:** Click on Configure. This will open a new window where you'll set up the promotion.

**Step 3:** Enter a name for the promotion. For this tutorial, we're using "Goal Based Progress Bar Discount". We will set the discount type as "Percentage".

**Step 4:** Select the free gift for the promotion.

**Step 5:** Set the minimum subtotal to 100. This will be in your store's base currency.

**Step 6:** Create a unique discount code for this promotion. This code will be associated with the free gift.

Remember, if the next goal also offers a free gift and has a higher minimum subtotal, use the same discount code. This is because Shopify considers them as a single discount code. For this tutorial, we're naming them "Free Gift 1" and "Free Gift 2".

**Step 7:** Add a shipping discount as the third goal.

We will set the minimum subtotal to 300 and offer an 100% discount. Create a unique discount code for this goal.

**Step 8:** Customize the text displayed when goals are not met.

For example, "You are \[remaining amount\] away". You can also add any other text you prefer.

**Step 9:** Customize the text displayed when all goals are met.

For example, "Congratulations! You have met all your goals."

**Step 10:** Decide where to display the widget. For this tutorial, we're showing it on the cart page and all product pages.

**Step 11:** Customize the widget's appearance.

You can choose colors from the color picker or add hex codes to match your website's theme.

**Step 12:** Save the settings.

Now, let's see how it works in practice.

**Step 13:** Navigate to the online store to check this.

**Step 14:** Go to the home page and open any product.

**Step 15:** Add a product to the cart.

**Step 16:** Check the cart. If the total is above 300, all goals will be met.

**Step 17:** Refresh the page to see the free gifts added to the cart.

**Step 18:** Proceed to checkout. The shipping discount will be applied.

That's it! You've successfully set up a goal-based progress bar.
