Design options for the Easy Bundle builders - with examples

With our latest update, we have simplified and supercharged how you create bundles. Instead of choosing a specific design template upfront (like "Inline" or "Expandable"), you now choose between two powerful builder types.

After you build your bundle, you can pick—and even change—the visual design at any time.

Here are the two main bundle builders and their new design options.

1. Landing Page Bundle Builder (formerly "Full-Page Template")

This option creates a dedicated, standalone page on your store for customers to build their bundles. It is the most powerful option for complex or "Build Your Own Box" experiences.

This builder has two primary formats:

  • Single-Step Format: Displays different product categories all on one page. Customers can choose from various bundle sizes, each with a different discount level, and select product variants (like size or color) directly on the product card.
  • Multi-Step Format: Guides the customer through a series of steps, with each step dedicated to a specific category (e.g., Step 1: Choose a T-shirt, Step 2: Choose Pants).

2. Product Page Bundle Builder (New Unified Builder)

This is the new, unified builder that embeds the bundle builder directly onto your existing product pages.

Previously, you had to choose between separate "Inline" or "Expandable" templates before you started. This is no longer the case.

Now, you simply select the Product Page Bundle Builder and gain the full power to:

  • Create Multi-Step Bundles: You can now have "Step 1," "Step 2," "Step 3," etc., right on your product page.
  • Add Categories within Steps: Just like the landing page, you can have multiple categories inside each step (e.g., Step 1: Choose a Shirt -> Category 1: T-Shirts, Category 2: Polos).
  • Build First, Design Later: After you build your bundle, you can choose (and switch between) four different visual designs.

How to Choose Your Design:

Once you have built your bundle, click the "Review Bundle" button (for the first time) or go to the "Customize Bundle" settings. You will be prompted to choose a design. You can change this at any time.

Here are the four design options available:

1. Product list

  • What it is: This is the classic "inline" design.
  • Use Case: Displays products in a list format directly on the product page. It's perfect for "mix-and-match" bundles of similar items (e.g., a 6-pack of sodas, a 3-pack of t-shirts).

2. Horizontal slots

  • What it is: This is the classic "expandable" pop-up design.
  • Use Case: Presents the bundle as horizontal steps that the customer clicks through. It is ideal for guided bundles where a customer selects one item from each category (e.g., "Step 1: Choose Foundation," "Step 2: Choose Primer").

3. Product grid (New Design)

  • What it is: A new "cognitive" design that displays your product options in a clean, visual grid.
  • Use Case: Great for bundles where product images are important, offering a modern, app-like feel for browsing options.

4. Vertical slots (New Design)

  • What it is: A new "simplified" design that shows steps and categories in a single vertical column.
  • Use Case: This layout is perfect for the new Step + Category feature. It clearly shows "Step 1" (with its categories) followed by "Step 2" (with its categories) in an easy-to-follow vertical format.

Design & Customization

Remember, after selecting your design, you can further customize it:

  • Customize Colors & Language: From the customization settings, you can change all colors, button text, and other language to perfectly match your brand.
  • Custom SDK: For advanced customization, you can use our custom SDK to build a unique liquid template that uses our app's architecture for discounts and cart functionality.
  • Bundle Gallery: Click on the 'Bundle gallery' to see how other merchants have designed their bundles for inspiration.
