How to configure Multiple Free Gifts in Kite App
This guide explains how to set up a single campaign where customers can unlock different gifts based on different actions—for example, one gift for spending $100, and a different gift for buying a specific collection item.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Create the Promotion
- Go to Create New Promotion > Free Gift with Purchase.
- Name your campaign (e.g., "Summer Rewards Mix").
2. Define Rule #1 (The Spend Goal)
- Condition: Select "Spend amount" (e.g., $100).
- Gift: Select the product you want to reward for high spending.
3. Define Rule #2 (The Collection Trigger)
- Click Add another rule.
- Condition: Select "Buy any product from specific collection" (or "Spend amount from collection").
- Collection: Choose the specific collection (e.g., "Summer Swimwear").
- Gift: Select the product you want to reward for buying from this collection.
4. Configure the "Logic" (Crucial Step) Scroll down to Promotion Type. Select Manual. You must now choose how these rules interact:
- Option A: "Only one gift from all the rules"
- Scenario: A customer spends $150 (Rule 1 met) AND buys a Swimwear item (Rule 2 met).
- Result: The widget will show them both unlocked gifts, but they can only claim ONE of them.
- Option B: "Multiple gifts, one for each rule"
- Scenario: A customer spends $150 (Rule 1 met) AND buys a Swimwear item (Rule 2 met).
- Result: They can claim BOTH gifts (one for spending enough, and one for buying the specific item).
Technical Notes
The "Tiered" Effect You can use this method to create non-linear tiers. Unlike standard Tiered Discounts (Spend 100/200/300), this allows for "Spend $100 to get a Hat" OR "Buy a specific Shoe to get Socks."
Widget Display The widget will display the progress for both rules.Rule 1 will show a progress bar (e.g., "$20 away from free gift").Rule 2 will check if the specific item is in the cart.
Troubleshooting
- Gifts not unlocking? Ensure the customer's cart actually meets the specific criteria for each rule. If they spent $100 but didn't buy from the "Summer Swimwear" collection, Rule 2 will remain locked.
- Customer took both but shouldn't have? Check that you selected "Only one gift from all the rules" in the setup settings.
