How to Set Up a FREE Gift on Kite (Automatic) Free gift can be added automatically.

This guide explains how to set up a campaign that automatically adds a free gift to a customer's cart when they meet certain conditions, without requiring them to use a code or click a button.


Step 1: Create a Free Gift Promotion


  1. In the Kite app, start creating a Free Gift with Purchase campaign.
  2. Enter a name for your promotion.


Step 2: Set the Gift Rule


  1. Define the condition that a customer must meet. For this example, select the Spending X amount option.
  2. Set the required purchase value (e.g., ₹500).
  3. Select the product you want to offer as the free gift.


Step 3: Configure the Automatic Setting


  1. Scroll down to the Automatic option.
  2. Choose how the free gifts should be added if you have set up multiple rules:
    • Only one gift for all rules, highest price would be given: If a customer's order qualifies for several rules, the app will only add the single most expensive gift to their cart.
    • Multiple gifts, one for each rule: If a customer's order qualifies for several rules, the app will add a separate gift for each rule that is met.


Step 4: Configure Combinations and Save


  1. Review and adjust the Discount combination settings, especially if you have other active Shopify discounts.
  2. Click Save.


Step 5: Verify the Campaign on Your Store


  1. Go to your online store and add products to your cart to meet the condition you set (e.g., reach a cart total of ₹500).
  2. View your cart.
  3. You will see that the free gift has been added to the cart automatically.
