How to Setting Up Multiple Languages on Kite App

This guide explains how to provide translations for your Kite campaigns so the widget text automatically updates when a customer changes the language on your storefront. The process has two parts: adding the translations in the Kite app and enabling the language in your Shopify settings.

Part 1: Adding Translations to Your Kite Campaign

  1. Open Language Settings in a Campaign
    • Create a new promotion or edit an existing one (e.g., a Volume Discount).
    • In the campaign setup, scroll down to the Multiple Languages section.
  1. Add a New Language and Translate Text
    • By default, the language is set to English. Click the option to add or select a new language (e.g., Spanish).
    • After selecting the new language, input fields will appear for its translations. Manually enter your translated text for the campaign's title, tier labels, and other customer-facing messages.
  1. Save the Campaign
    • Once you have entered all the translations, click Save.

Part 2: Enabling the Language in Your Shopify Store

For customers to see your translations, the language must be published and available on your storefront.

  1. Navigate to Shopify Language Settings
    • In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Languages.
  1. Add and Publish the Language
    • Click Add Language.
    • Select the language you want to enable (e.g., Spanish) from the dropdown menu and click Add.
    • The new language will appear in your list as "Unpublished". Click the three-dot menu (...) next to it and select Publish.

Result: Now, when a customer visits your store and uses the language selector to switch to the newly published language (e.g., Spanish), the Kite widget for your campaign will automatically display the translated text you provided.
