How to setup Multiple Product discounts using a single discount code

This guide explains how to use the Custom Discount Builder to run multiple, different product discounts that are all managed under a single campaign or discount code.

1. Start with the Custom Discount Builder

  1. In the Kite app, begin a new promotion using the Custom Discount Builder.
  2. Enter a Promotion Name (e.g., multi-product-discount). This name serves as the title for the entire campaign.
  3. Choose your discount method: Automatic or Discount code.

2. Create Your First Discount Rule

  1. In the first option block, set the rules for your first discount. For example: "Apply a 50% discount if a customer buys 1 item from the 'Hydrogen Collection'."
  2. Give this specific rule an Option Title (e.g., Hydrogen Discount). This title is the message the customer will see when this particular discount is applied.

3. Add and Create a Second Discount Rule

  1. Click the button to add another option or tier to your campaign.
  2. In this new block, set the rules for your second, different discount. For example: "Apply a 20% discount if a customer buys 1 item from the 'Oxygen Collection'."
  3. Give this rule its own unique Option Title (e.g., Oxygen Discount).

4. Save the Campaign

After creating all your desired discount options within the single promotion, click Save.

How It Works on Your Store

When a customer adds a qualifying product to their cart, the correct discount is applied automatically, but it is all part of the same campaign.

  • A product from the "Hydrogen Collection" will receive the 50% discount, and the customer will see the "Hydrogen Discount" message.
  • A product from the "Oxygen Collection" will receive the 20% discount with the "Oxygen Discount" message.

Even though the discounts and messages are different, they are both controlled by the single campaign (multi-product-discount) that you created.
