How to use Variables in Kite
This guide explains how to utilize variables in Kite to enter dynamic content on the free gift widget.
Variables allow for dynamic content entry in the free gift widget. For instance, consider a demo free gift with purchase discount. The rule states that if a customer spends a certain amount, they get a free gift.
While editing and styling the widget, enter the title and subtitle. For example, the gift card is a certain amount away to unlock. After a period, conditions might change, requiring a change in the free gift product or amount.
Typically, to make these changes, return to the widget to edit the style.
For instance, in an empty widget for a free gift purchase discount, enter the title as the free gift product and the subtitle as the amount to claim.
However, if the free gift product or amount changes, it's inefficient to manually update the title and amount each time. Kite offers a solution to this issue with variables.
Variables represent dynamic content that doesn't require repeated manual entry. Clicking on variables reveals a list of available options.
For example, to set the title as the free gift product, copy the corresponding variable.
The system automatically fetches the free gift product from the backend. The widget preview confirms the correct free gift product. Variables can also be used in the subtitle.
For instance, replace the currency and amount with their respective variables.
Finally, save the changes. This is just one example of how to use variables in Kite. There are many more variables available for use.
