How to Set Up a Volume Discount Promotion in the Kite App

This guide explains how to create a "Buy More, Save More" offer based on the number of items in the cart. You can set this up for single products or allow customers to "Mix & Match" across collections (e.g., "Buy any 2 items from Jewelry or Perfume to get 30% off").

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Create the Promotion

• Navigate to Create New Promotion and select Volume Discount.
• Name your promotion (e.g., "Buy 2 Save 30%").

2. Select Discount Products (The Mix & Match Logic)

• Choose which items qualify for the volume count.
• Single Product: Discount applies when buying multiple of the same item.
• Collections (Mix & Match): Select multiple collections (e.g., Jewelry AND Perfume).
• • How it works: If the goal is "Buy 2," the customer can buy 1 Jewelry item + 1 Perfume item to unlock the discount. They do not need to buy 2 of the exact same product.

3. Define Your Tiers Set the quantity rules.

• Minimum Quantity: Set the count needed to unlock the deal (e.g., 2 items).
• Discount Value: Set the percentage (e.g., 30%).
• Multiple Tiers: You can add more levels (e.g., Buy 2 get 10%, Buy 3 get 20%) to encourage higher volume purchases.

4. Widget & Settings

• Discount Combinations: Check this box to ensure the offer works alongside other active discounts.
• Multi-Language: Customize the text for different languages if needed.
• Widget Appearance: Configure where the "Buy More" prompts appear:

  • Cart Page: Reminds the user in the cart if they are close to the next tier.

5. Save & Test

• Click Save.
• Go to your store, add items from the different collections you selected, and verify the discount triggers once the total quantity meets the threshold.
