Setting Up Manual Code Discounts and Free Gift Offers

Note: The free gift will be added automatically or claimed manually on the cart page. Manual discount codes can only be applied at checkout.

This guide demonstrates how to set up a manual code discount that applies at checkout.

Start by creating a volume discount offer.

Step 1: Apply the discount to all products.



Step 2: Set the discount percentage based on the quantity. For instance, apply a 20% discount for quantities of two or four, and a 40% discount for a quantity of three.

Step 3: Combine this discount with other existing discounts.

Step 4: In the discount mode, select the manual code discount.



Step 5: Rename the promotion to something like "volume discount one".

Step 6: Copy the promotion name as it will serve as the discount code at checkout.

Step 7: Click save.



Upon viewing the offer, the widget and discount should be visible. Add the product to the cart. The discount won't apply automatically in the cart. However, upon checkout, enter the copied code to apply the discount.



The same process applies to the free gift with purchase offer.

Step 1: Scroll down to the advanced settings of the existing offer.



Step 2: In the checkout rules, select the manual code discount instead of automatic.

Step 3: Click save.



Refresh the store page and add the free gift to the cart. The gift won't be discounted to free automatically. At checkout, enter the copied promotion code to apply the discount.
