Sort how the discounts are applied - Kite Custom Discounts

This guide explains how to control whether a discount applies to the lowest-priced or highest-priced eligible item(s) in a customer's cart. This setting is most effective when you have also set a limit on the number of products that can be discounted in one order.

Steps to Configure the Discount Application Order

  1. Navigate to the Setting
    • Create or edit a custom discount promotion in the Kite app.
    • Set up your main discount rules and value (e.g., 10% off when a certain cart subtotal is reached).
    • In the campaign setup, scroll down to the section labeled "Cart and discount application order".
  1. Choose Your Application Order You will see two options. Select one:
    • Apply discount to the least expensive product: This will target the lowest-priced eligible item(s) in the cart.
    • Apply discount to the most expensive product: This will target the highest-priced eligible item(s) in the cart.
  1. Save Your Changes
    • Click the Save button to apply your choice.

Testing Your Setup

  1. Add several eligible products with different prices to your cart.
  2. Check the cart to see which item receives the discount.
    • If you selected "least expensive," the discount will be applied to the item with the lowest price (e.g., an item worth ₹250).
    • If you selected "most expensive," the discount will be applied to the item with the highest price (e.g., an item worth ₹829).
