Sort how the discounts are applied - Kite Custom Discounts
This guide explains how to control whether a discount applies to the lowest-priced or highest-priced eligible item(s) in a customer's cart. This setting is most effective when you have also set a limit on the number of products that can be discounted in one order.
Steps to Configure the Discount Application Order
- Navigate to the Setting
- Create or edit a custom discount promotion in the Kite app.
- Set up your main discount rules and value (e.g.,
10%
off when a certain cart subtotal is reached). - In the campaign setup, scroll down to the section labeled "Cart and discount application order".
- Choose Your Application Order You will see two options. Select one:
- Apply discount to the least expensive product: This will target the lowest-priced eligible item(s) in the cart.
- Apply discount to the most expensive product: This will target the highest-priced eligible item(s) in the cart.
- Save Your Changes
- Click the Save button to apply your choice.
Testing Your Setup
- Add several eligible products with different prices to your cart.
- Check the cart to see which item receives the discount.
- If you selected "least expensive," the discount will be applied to the item with the lowest price (e.g., an item worth
₹250
). - If you selected "most expensive," the discount will be applied to the item with the highest price (e.g., an item worth
₹829
).
