Setting up content on Order status Page
Explore how to set up an order status page content block on Shopify. This feature allows merchants to display various content on their order status page, such as social media links, newsletter subscription links, banners, reviews, shipping FAQs, and more.
Step 1: Open the checkout wizard app.
Step 2: Click on 'create extensions'.
Step 3: Under 'where does your extension appear', select 'after checkout' and click 'continue'.
Step 4: Choose the order status page to create the block. Then, select the content block order status page and click on 'create block'.
Step 5: Name the order status page content. For example, 'subscribe to newsletter'.
Step 6: Add different content blocks such as text, heading images, list divider, shipping bar, etc. For this example, create a 'subscribe to our newsletter' content block.
Step 7: Add a heading that says 'subscribe to our newsletter'.
Step 8: Adjust the alignment of the heading.
Step 9: Change the heading size, with one being the largest and three being the smallest. Click 'save'.
Step 10: Add text such as 'click here to subscribe to our newsletter to stay in the know'.
Step 11: Hyperlink different links onto the text section using the special syntax.
Step 12: Place the hyperlink text within square brackets, and the link within normal brackets.
Step 13: Align the block.
Step 14: Define the alignment, color, and size of the text.
Step 15: Add a divider.
Step 16: Add images by copying the URL of the image link from your content section in Shopify.
Step 17: If you want to redirect the image to a different URL, paste it in the provided space. Adjust the number of images per column, the spacing between the images, the alignment of the images, border, and the corner radius.
Step 18: Set up rules to define which customer sees this content block. If no rules are added, the content block will be shown to all customers.
Step 19: Go to the 'publish block' section.
Step 20: Configure the block to show as a carousel, define any banner type, set the border, border radius, padding, etc.
Step 21: In the 'publish block' section, assign any random value to the 'checkout block location'.
Step 22: Click 'save' to take your block live on your order status page.
Step 23: To place and preview the block on your order status page editor, click on 'settings'.
Step 24: Go to the 'checkout' section.
Step 25: Choose to customize your live checkout or your draft checkout. Click on 'customize'.
Step 26: In the section, select your 'order status'.
Step 27: Click on 'add a block' and select the 'content block'.
Step 28: Enter the 'location value' that you had given on the app.
Step 29: Drag and drop the block into the desired sections.
Step 30: Preview the block.
Step 31: If you are unable to see the preview, clear your cookies from the 'cookies and site data' section and reload the page.
Step 32: Click 'save' to finalize the changes.
