Show reviews and testimonials on checkout
This guide demonstrates how to display product reviews, testimonials, or store reviews directly on the checkout page. This feature enhances customer engagement and trust by showcasing positive feedback right before purchase.
Here's an example of how a testimonial appears on the checkout page:
Customers can scroll through multiple testimonials by clicking an arrow, or view them stacked vertically.
Step 1: Navigate to the checkout wizard app and select create extensions.
Step 2: When asked to choose where the extension appears, select during checkout and click continue.
Step 3: Go to the customized content tab and select the testimonial section.
Step 4: Click on create block.
Step 5: Assign a name to this block.
Step 6: Define rules for when to display this block. Rules can be based on products, collections, customer tags, discount codes, and more. If no rules are set, the block will be visible to all customers.
Step 7: Add reviews in the add review section.
Here, control the number of stars (from zero to five) for each review.
Step 8: Change the reviewer's name and paste the review text.
Step 9: Add more reviews by clicking the add review button.
The show block as a carousel option allows reviews to be stacked horizontally. Customers can click a button to view subsequent reviews.
Disabling this option stacks reviews vertically.
Step 10: Customize the block in the block configuration section. Choose the border type, background color, banner type, and adjust padding, border radius, and spacing.
Step 11: To take the block live, assign a location to it in the publish block section.
Choose a number from one to twenty.
Step 12: Click save.
Step 13: Navigate to the Shopify settings and go to the checkout section. Here, edit either the live or draft checkout.
Step 14: Click on customize in the profile to edit.
Step 15: Click on add app block and select content block.
Step 16: Enter the number assigned to the block in the app.
The content block now appears in the editor.
Drag and drop it to the desired location. Preview it directly in the team editor or by clicking the preview button. If the block doesn't appear, clear the cookies from the cookies inside data and reload the page.
Step 17: Click save after making all changes.
